"Hinge boring" is the process of precisely drilling the holes on the back of your cabinet doors to fit modern, concealed "European-style" press-in hinges.

Our professional press-in hinge boring service is priced simply at $2 per hole. The total number of holes your door requires is determined automatically by its height to ensure it is properly supported and will not warp over time.
The system automatically calculates the correct number of hinges for your door's height.
For doors up to 49 15/16" tall:
Your door will be bored for 2 hinges (4 holes total).
For doors from 50" to 75" tall:
Your door will be bored for 3 hinges (6 holes total). The third hinge is perfectly centered for added stability.
For doors taller than 75":
Your door will be bored for 4 hinges (8 holes total).
When you place your order, you'll need to specify "Left" or "Right" boring for each door. This decision is based on which side the hinges will be on when you are facing the front of the cabinet.
• If the hinges are on the left side of the cabinet door, choose "Left".
• If the hinges are on the right side of the cabinet door, choose "Right".

For your reference, our standard hinge boring pattern is compatible with European-style concealed hinges with press-in dowels.

Approx. 13mm (1/2 inch)
Placement from Edge:
The edge of the 35mm cup is placed 3mm from the edge of the door.
Pattern:
We use a "Cup and Dowel" pattern for use with hinges that have press-in dowels.
